Liberated Yourself From Internet Addiction..!! Can You??🍀😊 Social media has liberated people in such a way that many now consider themselves as promoters, advertisers and publicity specialists, this in addition to their "normal" job.
If you are in a position where you can reach people, then use your platform to stand up for a cause. HINT: social media is a platform.
Sadly, people are still losing their jobs over things that they tweet. Nowadays, that has extended to other people losing their jobs over something someone else tweeted who was somehow largely affiliated with them.
Our society has led us to believe that everybody is on the internet these days. Contrary to popular belief everyone is not on social media...😊😊

Throwing some serious side eye when people tell me
“Boys will be boys”
“Not all white people...”
“That’s just how it is”
“Get your bikini body”
“She was asking for it”
“I want to look lean but not manly”
“Can’t we all just get along?”
And for the longest time I was conditioned to give a polite chuckle or giggle... to go along with the status quo because *Who Am I* to really change and speak up about these things??? Stay small, stay quiet, stay safe, stay invisible. My privilege allowed me to stay all these things for a very long time
But here’s THE THING
We need to get comfortable being uncomfortable (see @luvvie Ted Talk). These are not easy conversations by any stretch of the imagination. But speaking up and speaking truth to power is the only way to create change. Inside yourself, in your family, in your social circles, in your life... which is a very good place to start and to show up as a decent person
And because action in the moment is Hard AF, here are a few responses you can use when you hear something and need a QUICK response to change behavior... or maybe you WON’T change behaviors, but at least you will make them think twice 😉
“What do you mean by that...?”
“Can you explain that a little further...?”
“Well that’s not okay”
What are some things you throw serious side eye to? And how do you respond? I’m always looking for that amaaaaazing one liner! 👇
Today we’re paying tribute to All Black legend Sir Colin Meads.
Sir Colin Meads nickname was Pinetree from the fellow All Black Roger Boon "He had the strength and the speed as well as the size to go with it"
Rest easy Pinetree🌲

Self care isn’t just going out for a spa day or going on vacation, it can be as simple as thinking one positive thought a day. Taking a break from poisoning your mind is a type of self care. Taking care of yourself mentally is beyond important no matter how useless or pointless it feels in the moment it will affect you for the better in the long run. YOU have the power to build yourself back up after life has knocked you down. Your loved ones can be right beside you but they cannot save you, with their support you able to do that yourself. Little steps taking a second and just pausing to check in with yourself is truly the way to start healing all your wounds. *********
He said “mommy, I’m not big and strong like you, but one day I’ll be strong!” And all I can think about is how you’re going to be so much stronger. And you’re going to make me so much stronger. Because I went and got you for me to lift that 300. I wasn’t feeling it. But you told me I can do it. And that’s all I need.
