I often have people say to me when their talking about wanting to make a change, lose weight etc 'I just don't have the willpower' they look forlorn, upset, defeated.
I tell them they're correct!
They DON'T have the willpower.
NO BODY does.
Our habits and behaviours have been POWERFULLY programmed and created in the SUBCONSCIOUS mind.
Trying to fight against a programme of belief that YOU set is like trying to force a boulder back up a hill..... look I'm not saying it's impossible to rely on willpower alone, but it's HARD, UNSUSTAINABLE and creates further beliefs that that's the only way to get things done. Working with your subconscious mind however changing up beliefs can TRANSFORM your habits and behaviours so you're back in control 💪🏻💪🏻 No willpower required. It's automatic. You've reset the programme.
Tag someone who needs to hear this, that they're not alone, that things CAN change, that they have the power to do so.
Every now and then I meet people who say they don’t like macarons (I know, I know, weirdos 😉), and the reason is almost always that they find them too sweet. Which makes sense because the shells have 4 ingredients: almond flour (sweet), confectioners sugar (sweet), caster sugar (sweet), and egg whites (taste like nothing). If you fill something that’s already sweet with something else sweet like flavored buttercream, it’s sweet on sweet which can definitely be... too sweet. I love adding tartness (like lemon curd or sour cherry jam), bitterness (like dark chocolate or very dark caramel), or saltiness (like sea salt or peanut butter) to keep my macarons from getting too cloyingly sweet. But... I’ll take a s’mores flavored one any day too 😂.
