This has been the Monday-est Monday ever and I’m like laser-focused on trying to have @studiotoneitupchyna positivity. For example: I made this killer K + Kale salad for lunch and we took our picnic to the pool to find out we were an hour early of opening time 😳🙄🤷♀️. BUT we were able to swim (eventually) and had the pool to ourselves and my daughter has 100% confidence and self-love and I soak it up and learn from her every chance I get! 💕

Today I did things a little different. Despite being so tired and wanting to hit the snooze button, I got up and out of bed. I stared at my phone for 5 minutes (maybe longer, but who’s counting) and then went to my mat for a workout. I did the entire thing. I didn’t stop half way through or talk myself out of doing all of the burpees (I HATE burpees) like I usually do. I did it all.
I was listening to a book earlier that talked about carving out time for yourself - to care for your body so that it functions properly. Being a pediatric OT my body is constantly moving (and in odd positions): I’m on the floor crawling around, lifting up equipment, standing up, squatting down. It’s more tiring than it should be...so I’m carving out time every morning (before I have the chance to cancel on myself) to invest in me and get a little sweat on.

Been gone for a while, been busy and not working out really for the last 2 months if I’m being honest. So I decided to get back in today and lucky me the dummer challenge just happens to start today too!!! So I got in 2 rounds of the dm and died before starting round 3. Baby steps!!! I chose to do a HIIT video but need to figure out first how to cast it on my TV (HELP!!) so instead I did Bobbycall. Next we're the #tiudailymoves and today's were no joke. Tuck jumps, burpees 🙈I didn't want to think it and jumped straight onto them so missed that the burpees weren't part of the moves, that it was only 1 min and needed to count them 😂😂
My meals were on point too. I followed the #tiubikiniseries plan with some ingredient swaps: Maca strawberry smoothie, apricots, Kale and lentil salad, apricot muffin and endive and mushroom salad.
Happy day ☝🏻 of the #summertoneup challenge! Despite being #37weekspregnant 🤰🏼, I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist joining in on another amazing @toneitup challenge😜! But I am keeping it safe for me and babe 👶🏻and making lots of modifications 🙌🏻! I get a lot of questions about how to modify moves while pregnant. My rule of thumb 👍🏻is to elevate those planks, no twisting and after 20 weeks no laying on your back. I also take out the jumping in a lot of moves and modify it to make it low impact. These modifications have helped me maintain my strength and energy level throughout my pregnancy, and it’s still a great workout 💪🏻! And most important of all is to listen to your body, if something doesn’t feel good, then don’t🙅🏻♀️ do it!
Here is what I did today to modify the daily moves to be safe for me and baby. I plan to continue to modify and remain active these final 2 weeks until my c-section! As long as it still feels good to exercise, you better believe this mama 🙋🏻♀️is gonna keep it up! Exercising has helped me so much throughout this pregnancy. Today starts the last week of swim lessons. I am truly amazed at how far our little man has come since starting! Today I needed to practice a little self love ❤️, appreciation of my accomplishments 🏆 thus far, and patience. You see, we just got back from vacation and leave for another on Saturday. I unapologetically enjoy my vacations, which means Booty Calls with a side of Icecream 🍦😋. I have a little more bloat today than I’ve had in weeks and unfortunately that messed with my head all morning. Then I stopped and thought
1) look how much you’ve accomplished in the last few months!
2) Vacations are minor setbacks that are easily resolved once you get back into the groove
3) Always try to love your body in whatever phase your in. As long as you’re doing what you need to succeed, the rest will follow.
I will never again feel guilty for enjoying vacations, holidays, anniversaries, etc as long as I’m focused during the surrounding time. This week is about focus 🧠, nutrition 🌱, and gearing up for another fun filled family vacation ✈️🏖 to Cape Cod!

This☝🏽 is what Mondays are normally like. Today is different though. Today, I am full of energy and haven't had a single crash, mental fog moment, or felt like I needed a second cup of coffee. I didn't think that intermittent fasting would actually impact my energy levels as I felt as I was already more energetic than most around me due to already eating well and exercising before starting this program. Ohhhh was I wrong though 😅. After day 2, my energy reached a new height. I feel like I could run a marathon (particularly on day 4 & 5), but I won't actually be doing that again lol. I am beyond amazed with the changes occuring in such a short period of time. I was skeptical of IF and there was no need to be. Specially after a weekend like the one I just had, I would have woken up late. Arrived to work late. Then would have spent most of my morning treading water and catching up. Not today though 💥👊🏽🤩. Made it to work in time for me 8am meeting. No second coffee. No mental fog. Accomplished everything on my to-do list and will be headed home promptly around 4:15-4:30p! It's good to feel good. 😊. If you're questioning @autumnelle_nutrition's program, just do it!! The energy alone is 💯% worth it!!! .
Didn't have time to prep yesterday so went shopping and prepped this evening. Morrocan dish for dinner and cooked the strawberry shortcake muffins and made lunch for the next few days. Determined to stick to the #summertoneup#tiuteam#tiuuk
