@pentasports Forms Promotional Alliance With 20th Century Fox
German organization PENTA Sports Database-Link-e1521645463907 has revealed it will be working with American film studio 20th Century Fox. As a result, the esports team will help promote future movie projects. According to PENTA, the team will spread the word for upcoming films like Alita: Battle Angel and X-Men movies within the esports and gaming space.
Furthermore, 20th Century Fox branding will be applied to a segment of the PENTA Sports Performance Center in Berlin. A 450-square-meter area of the center will be outfitted with movie-themed décor to mark the alliance. PENTA Sports describes the deal as the “first major engagement of the media giant in esports with [a] German brand.” “Today marks a huge step forward, and [we] are glad to announce a new and unique milestone in the history of PENTA Sports and esports in general,” said Hendrik Goetzendorff, managing director at PENTA Sports. “We are proud to welcome 20th Century Fox, one of the biggest media companies worldwide, to our family. Together we will explore new avenues in the esports world and unleash the power of content for our fans and partners.” Just last week, 21st Century Fox—the parent company of 20th Century Fox—announced that it had invested $100M into esports and entertainment streaming platform Caffeine, which will help fund a broadcast studio co-run by Caffeine and Fox Sports called Caffeine Studios.
Today’s move marks another step into esports by Fox. “Esports is an important touch point for us, and we are delighted that we will from now on cooperate with a partner like PENTA Sports,” he said. “In our industry, storytelling is essential and we will bring that storytelling to esports in the time to come. For us, it was very important to find a trustworthy partner who has a close relationship to its fans. We are looking forward to a bright future around 20th Century Fox and PENTA Sports in the world of esports.”
