Tracking Sanitation needs of the village communities through mDemand.
mDemand, a mobile app developed by Dhwani RIS is helping village communities capture and track toilet construction demand in their area. The app is being used by Samarthan, a Bhopal based NGO which is implementing Government's flagship 'Swachh Bharat Mission' in BPL communities spread across certain pockets of Madhya Pradesh. With the Hindi language support, the app allows users to track the toilet construction status in real- time. It comes with a built-in geo-referencing feature and has a picture upload option for those who want to construct toilets in their homes. The data generated through the app can be accessed by the Panchayat level officials and Zila Parishad authorities, thereby, helping them in implementing the SBM more effectively at the village level.
