#Chopper Broken Deeds MC #4.5
Some scars run deeper than healed wounds on the body. Memories can be a tricky thing; they can be special or traumatic, especially when you have no control over the trigger. When they hit, they can hit hard.
When Chopper ends up in the ER, the memories start and the only thing that soothes his pain is a woman from his past that holds special meaning. Ivy fights for her patients, but when her teenage crush lands in her ER she is forced to handle her scalpel in a whole different way.
Life is a constant struggle and it can be difficult to realize that one tiny moment in time can be just the change you need. Nothing is more difficult than fighting an inner battle, one that has branded scars into pieces of your soul. Will Chopper allow Ivy into his fight? Or will he continue to face his battles alone? ***Chopper's story is a standalone, #MilitaryRomance (dealing with PTSD). Previously published in the "Help Our Heroes" A Military Charity Anthology*** Chopper can be read as a complete #standalone.

⚡️ Hour 18 of #24in48 ⚡️ This hour’s challenge theme is the books on your nightstand! Mine usually consists of recent reads I haven’t shelved yet (The Female Persuasion and A Little Life), at least one poetry book (You Get So Alone by Bukowski), one spiritual/mental health book (The Universe Has Your Back), and what’s a nightstand without some Joan Didion! I recently bought the FSG Classics version of Slouching Towards Bethlehem because I love the cover of it so much. 🌟 What books are on your nightstand? @24in48
The next #24in48 challenge is to show off your nightstand. I’ll admit, I keep my nightstand pretty bare, only with the one or two books I’m reading for fun at the time. My actual #tbr shelf would not fit on this small surface 😅 #books#bookstagram#readathon
A little haul of a few books I’ve had my eye on for a long while!😍🙌
I’ve ordered way too many books this week.... or is it not enough?😬
✨I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Lots of reading and bookish vibes
The wait is almost over - 5 days!!!

My whole life, there had only been one rule. Don’t go to Chicago. It always made me feel like a damsel in distress, trapped in a tower. But my life was filled with kings and queens and the most noble knights and I didn’t need another fairytale.
I needed a bad boy.
Brye McCowan was just that. He was smooth, and seductive. Dark, dangerous and downright drool worthy too. I saw trouble swirling around him in place of a shadow. He was my one rule personified.
And I couldn't stop myself from kissing him.
Which was right about the time that whole fairytale thing kicked back in. Only this time I wasn’t surrounded by heroes. These were the villains, wicked and vengeful. And Brye was one of them. When all was said and done, when all the blood was spilled, the only thing more tormenting than the dungeon he threw me in was knowing it was my family’s twisted secrets that put me there.
Well, I’m going to admit that I may have read a book outside of my TBR pile. But hey, no one is perfect. To err is human. All that jazz. ————————————————
Even after the slight guilt I felt about reading something not designated for July, I found this to be a bit of a let down compared to the first book. I don’t know. I just didn’t enjoy it as much as the first one which was awesome, and this one fell very flat. Did this happen with anyone else or just me? 😩
“ ...he smiled at my painting “ This reminds me of it .” “ Of what ?.” I breathed .
He lowered the painting , looking right at me , right into me . “ That I’m not alone .”
I didn’t lock my bedroom door that night. “
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas ..
A beauty and the beast retelling , Feyre a girl of 19 years old whose family -father and two sisters- depends totally on her , she learned how to hunt since she were 14 all by her own -watch and learn- , far from the place the family lives there is a wall across which there is a land called Prithian where faes live , no one is allowed to cross that wall unless bearing the consequences , a treaty is said to control the policies which rules “ a soul for a soul “ or … , one night fayre went hunting she found a wolf that was not actually a wolf she knew it and killed him tho , and there is where everything would start …
In a Nutshell :
You know it’s a good book when you have issues while reading the book but can’t put it down tho , flipping pages was all I was doing …
