Hey fellow teachers! I’ve been looking around for some great professional development conferences. I would really love to go to Teach Your Heart Out especially since they have some great special education presenters @especiallyeducation @mrsdscorner but not sure if I can swing making it to Vegas or Nashville (even though I’m sure it would be amazing!) so I was wondering if any of you out there knew any good options here on the East Coast?!? #teachersfollowteachers#teachersofinstagram#teacherlife#teacher#iteachsped#specialeducationteacher
😩 and there was no school yesterday?? Whhhhyyyyy??? Moving on, also sporting some cute new earrings thanks to @kkearringdesigns! I mean if Tuesday is going to act like Monday, might as we look cute! #sendwine#howmanydaystillfriday#teacherlife
Time to get my maternity sub plans DONE! I’m planning two six weeks (just in case she’s early) and have everything separated by week, subject, and campus. Sidenote: dogs notice smelly markers and will attempt to taste them, resulting in smeared folders. #maternityleave#teacherlife
How do you manage and set up classroom jobs in your classroom? I use this “iLead” board (goes perfect with us being a @leader.in.me school) and can only manage to switch monthly with my kiddos and just simply erase names and switch it up after they apply for a new position and reflect on their old one. I would love to be able to change jobs more frequently but don’t know if I can manage it 😬😂 if you have any cool advice or tips/tricks on giving the kids more ownership with their jobs in the classroom—lmk!!! 💃🏼💪🏼🌟 P.S. I am not an art teacher for a reason.... so if you are judging my poorly drawn iPhone — all I can say is I tried my best🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🕺🏼 #teachersfollowteachers#teachersofinstagram#classroomjobs#teacherideas#teacherlife#classroomdecor#teachinglife#iteachtoo#iteachthird#thirdgradetribe
If I have learned one thing over this past year, it’s that life is truly unpredictable. 👊🏽
I had never really pictured myself being a mom. I had accepted my life the way it was. Then a year ago, I found myself expecting my first child. 🤰🏽
I always was a very shy, quiet person who feared the judgement of others. But after lots of self exploration and personal development, I found myself sharing my life and my journey very openly in social media.
I thought I was going to teach kindergarten until I retired. Although I had thought of other career paths, I felt as thought teaching was perfect for me. Then 10 months ago, I found myself starting a business which led to me leaving my teaching career to work from home.
I thought all of these things were separate journeys, until I realized the destination ended up being the same.
I thought that if I ever had a child, I would have to work and spend my time split between teacher life and mom life.
But by being open minded and willing to learn, I’ve managed to mesh everything together. •
I’m a stay-at-home mompreneur. I get to be home with my baby while growing a business using social media and teaching other women to do the same. •
Sometimes life will show you different pieces of yourself and it’s up to you to put the puzzle together. •
Life may not look the way you had planned, but sometimes something much grander is waiting for you.
It may take a leap, a jump, or a step outside of your comfort zone, but when you find it, you will wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
When it is all finished, you will discover it was never random. ❤️#mompreneur#momandbaby#dreambigger
