I’m a little late to #BehindThePlanner, but I had to start somewhere! It’s been awhiiile since I re-introduced myself, but instead of a long drawn out story, here’s a quick summary & three facts about me you didn’t need to know, but now you will!
I am a thirty-two year old married lady with two dogs, a cockatiel, and a bunny & no human babies in the near future. I was born and mostly raised in San Diego, CA, but I now live in north Texas where I work as a Receiving Clerk at a big box store. I have an AA in American Sign Language, but I am going back to school next month to finish up my BA in Communication Studies.
Now for some random fun facts:
1️⃣ I don’t really like cooking, but I looooove baking!
2️⃣ I’m #teamINNOUT over Whataburger, even though I like Whataburger too. (I’m originally from California...what can I say?🤷🏻♀️)
3️⃣ Since I was a kid, I have tried to learn Tagalog & Visayan (my mom is from the Philippines), but I can carry a conversation better in ASL, which is kind of embarrassing to me. 🤭🤟🏼 So there ya go! I kind of hate taking selfies, but I will try to get better at sharing more me & of course, more behind the planner! See ya around! 🙃👋🏼✌🏼
Tonight I took a little trip to #Whataburger. I’ve tried it several times and it was always BLEH, so I’m trying it again to give it another chance. I got a #1 (the whata-burger lol) with everything & a Dr Pepper. Cause, I’ve been told it MUST go with a Dr Pepper. Well, my burger was cold #LAME!!! The vegetables were not #Fresh and I wanted more lettuce... but the fries are good, the soda was good & the service was good. I heated up the burger a few second in the microwave and it’s not too bad now that it’s warm. With that being said: IN N OUT IS WAY BETTER. Lol #SorryNOTsorry#InNoutVSwhataburger#TeamInNout#NothingAgainstYouWhataburgerLovers#JustMYtwoCents OH YEAH, and I most def wore my In n out T-shirt lol #Traviesa
A few of you have been asking about Lilo and I wanted you all to know she’s still with us and up for adoption! The reason why she isn’t in a lot of videos is because she has snapped at all of us a few times so everyone is kept separate. This is my first foster and it hasn’t been easy one bit! The time and money (again, thanks to you all for all of your donations! There’s no way we would’ve been able to afford helping her with all her medications, holistic therapy remedies, or even all the stuff she needed to be spoiled since she came with nothing so THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!) is a full time job. The focus has always been getting her back to 100% and showing her love. As you can see from the second video she’s made the best turnaround of life, but I’m thinking what has happened is she’s become comfortable enough to be herself and that means giving us some good ol’ bulldog attitude. I’m the most over protective parent and a lot of you don’t know that Walter has been attacked twice. One of those times was by a stray dog and the other time was at a dog park when someone brought their Rottweiler in and kept him on a leash because he was aggressive. I’m not afraid to say that I have never been experienced in fostering or training (I mean look at Walter... he clearly has never listened to Aretha in the respect department), but what I do know is I’ve always wanted to help sweet babies who need it. With that said Lilo will be going to training next week with the help of all of you who donated to Roadogs for Lilo back when we were taking donations. I also want to mention again that it was never my intention to adopt her (we have got some hate for that in our DMs). We just saw she needed help quick so I drove 3 hours to Houston to get her right away. To be honest those DMs hurt me and I got to see first hand what it feels like to have a platform and want to use that for someone in need and then still get horrible reactions. I do know that all of us together have helped her so much as well as the other dogs we were able to donate to! The last pic includes details on how she had such a great turnaround.
What team are you on? One of the great American debates is over who serves the best Fast Food burgers, and we are firmly Team @innout! But this isn't just about burgers. It's about finding a bit of nostalgia when you're far from home. Whether it's a California kid enjoying In'n'Out in Texas, or finding McD's in France. Sometimes it's nice to find a little bit of home and childhood. .
🍔🍟🥤 We’ll miss the cheese fries and the chick’n shack and the potato buns and the overpriced ice cream. But we’re thankful our ol’ pal In-n-Out will be waiting for us on the other side.
Now tell me, are you #TeamShakeShack or #TeamInnOut?? I know a few of you have very strong feelings on the topic, so let’s discuss them here, for old time’s sake. 😆
Since being in the south, we’ve heard many people claim that Whataburger is better than In n Out... 🙄 I mean that’s like comparing apples and oranges. The Scroggins definitely like Whataburger but compared to In n Out it’s a no brainer.
We’re team In N Out.
What do you think?
