Sometimes since I've been in the garden I've looked up through the trees at the sky and I have had a strange feeling of being happy as if something was pushing and drawing in my chest and making me breathe fast. Magic is always pushing and drawing and making things out of nothing. Everything is made out of magic, leaves and trees, flowers and birds, badgers and foxes and squirrels and people. So it must be all around us. In this garden - in all the places. ~ Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden 🌿✨ I’m already missing the green 😭
Confession: we never carved the pumpkins we picked... 🤦🏻♀️ I feel so badly about it. Luckily the boys haven’t said anything but the mom guilt is heavy. I have been so incredibly sick and exhausted; and Patrick has literally been traveling almost every week the past couple of months, and with trying to get stuff done before baby, fill three boys daddy cups, and rest, ..we never got to it. 😕 I am really sad but I’m trying to just let go and focus on all the other stuff we did do together, as well as the fact that I just can’t do it all and there’s always next year. Next year, we will for certain, carve pumpkins. 🎃
. Also, this image reminds me of the sound of music for some reason 😄
It’s no lie, it’s COLD out there today for Holiday Mini Sessions. ❄️ But I am bundling families up in blankets and letting it set the holiday spirit with the snow and cold. Besides, pink noses are jolly. 🎅🏻
I cannot believe today is the very last day of my fall mini sessions! We sold out 6 total days and I’m absolutely FLOORED. I feel so happy, fulfilled, exhausted, and ready for more all at once!! I know everyone says this but seriously, I have the BEST clients in the whole wide world. Thank you all for coming out - excited and smiling - despite the sometimes frigid weather ☃️❄️ I’m the luckiest 💙 If you’re interested in my mini sessions, be sure to sign up for my e-newsletter! (Link in bio) I’ll announce spring minis and next year’s fall minis there first! #fallminisessions#candidchildhood
Tamara contacted me so excited to book a session for her daughter. She shared with me that the reason why she was so excited was because when Tamara was raising her family, she avoided the camera because she was a little overweight. She regrets it. I told her “well let’s get it done. You’re not too late”. So- here is her and her beautiful daughter laughing together 💛💛😌
PHOTOGRAPHY, people. It’s important. If you’re questioning getting photos done because of how you look- DON’T. Photos are ALL we have besides our brains to keep memories alive. I can’t stress to you the importance. I don’t care who you take photos with- if it’s me or if it’s your tripod with a camera on it. GET yourself in those pictures! 🙌🏻
This sweet little thing is just what I’m hoping your feed needs today!
Nap time is here so I’m tidying up and getting some Holiday Mini edits done! Followed by some emailing! Who else is feeling motivated on this sunny Saturday?!
