I was recently asked in an interview my thoughts on wallpaper and I quickly responded that I loved it because it is the ultimate problem solver. On the latest @cobaltandcloth post we’ll look at some of my favorite projects where wallpaper is the great, all-purpose design tool.
Walking into the weekend grateful for amazing clients 🙌🏽 // PS - I uploaded a new #IGTV video with 5 Easy Home Decor Updates you can do this weekend. Are you a DIY’er or do you prefer to hire pros for your #interior_design projects?
Heading into weekend + I'm ready for bed before ten. 😬🙈 I've been working away on an autumn collection and things are slowly coming together. 💛 Here's "Cornfield Sunset" 🌽 // featuring two peonies in tones of tawny and coffee, a burnt red autumn sunflower, and an array of fall grasses and accent beading on an eighteen inch grapevine base. 🌾 Speaks of hayrides at dusk, the sweet smell of hay bales at the fall festival, and homemade popcorn popping on the stove. 🍂
We’re packing up the oldest for Cub Scout Camp this weekend. He’s mostly pumped for the shooting of BB’s but also for his first camp out with his Daddy. I’m just thankful I don’t have to be in the forest in the middle of July 😬. When I was younger we went primitive camping deep in the blue ridge mountings. Let’s just say for a beach raised girl, that was not a good way to start the experience! Snakes, fording rivers with gear, giant bugs, the darkest night known to man, and peeing in the forest. I love the outdoors and nature but camping is not my forte at all.
And just like that, we’re done with cribs forever...We knew we wanted to get Mac in a big boy bed at some point this summer, and then I found a vintage Jenny Lind bed on Facebook marketplace for $25 and scooped it right up. We had to do some maneuvering of the furniture and order a special sized mattress (the joys of vintage furniture), but I absolutely love how it all turned out. T got the new bigger bed and Mac inherits the twin set, with hopes for a coordinating spindle frame to come. I got to shop for new bedding and pillows today which is maybe one of my top 5 leisure activities. We were driving back from swimming at my grandmother’s tonight and Taber said, “Mac, if you get scared tonight, you can just travel to me.” And Mac said, “Taber, if you get scared, you can travel to me too.” My cup runneth over.
Happy closing day to my clients! I helped this family transition from their 2 bed / 2 bath in Gold Coast (1510 N. Dearborn #404 - $570K) to their new SFH in Lincoln Park with 4 beds / 3.5 baths (2624 N. PAULINA - $1.155M). Maintaining relationships with clients is so important to me, and I'm thrilled to be part of this new life stage for them! Scroll to see photos from 1510 N. Dearborn & then photos from 2624 N. Paulina
