Got more Mobility! Let’s face it, the older we get, our mobility gets worse. This has helped with a lot of inflammation I would get in my knees and hips I get from running and in my chest when I have difficult obstacle races back to back involving a lot of upper body. Joints, ligaments, tendons.... 2 weeks on this while focusing more on stretching made a huge difference.
GDA-glucose disposal agent helps with keeping blood sugar levels down and at a steady after eating carbs. This is designed to keep insulin levels down so glucose can stay in the cells of the muscles and be burned off there.... basically.
And of course Micro factor—-multi vitamin, probiotic, fatty acids.... that’s just to list a few good and very much needed micronutrients every body could benefit from daily for overall healthy, peak performance, and recovery 💪🏽 #iam1stphorm#1stphorm#glucosedisposalagent#mobility#microfactor#thelittlethingsmatter#dontunderestimatemicros#takecareofyourself
Mentally, I’m settling into this bank holiday early. Actually we’re (just) closer to the last weekend than the next. ⠀
But last night it was light at 9pm and tonight I’ve decided we’re having fish and chips and I have a vast vase packed with lilies unpeeling their petals beside me and everything smells like summer. ⠀
Mentally, I have grand plans for this weekend. Elderflower picking; steeping the mass in syrup to bottle. Sweetly floral leftovers frittered. Strawberries steeped in rosé; with a kiss of black pepper, eaten with greedy fingers. ⠀
Actually, I’m going to a wedding. Actually, that’s grander and lovelier than any plan of mine.
We’ve enjoyed celebrating with lots and lots of little people recently. It’s so wonderful to be part of such special family events and we want to thank everyone who has already booked us again for siblings or for next year! Have you got a birthday party coming up? Thinking of what gift to give a special someone? We could be able to help!
A few days ago I got a terrible tasting wine.
Today I decided to use that terrible wine which smelled like nail polish.
I made it into sangria with strawberries and apples.
It reminded me that we're all going to have bad days, but it's how you respond and what you make of what you've been given.
Make the best of what you've been given.
I know it's easier said than done.
How are you using what you've been given?
Are you making the best of it?
Oh goodness, I thought it was going slowly but today we are 27 weeks pregnant and feeling it! I’m not the biggest fan of pregnancy, but it’s quite emotional thinking I’ll never be at this stage on a pregnancy journey again. Mixed feelings about it all! Looking forward to welcoming a new Hannibal-White to the world in August 😍

We’re in unfamiliar territory; hazing in and out, a team of skull-capped anaesthetists telling me to breathe. Now, I’m floating on a codeine cloud, my pillow knit of reusable straws and spent pill packets. ⠀
My brain is soothed with the neat conclusions of Vera Stanhope; crime-fic always favoured in times of mental disarray. Take me North again, I say. Further even than Vera’s pitched valleys and bleak sea flats; take me back to Scotland and salt air blasting through me, carrying infection away across the mountains and sea lochs, out across the sea to Skye. ⠀
It’s inevitable that my body decided to shut down during such a busy month, but I’m lucky that it was sorted so quickly. My mental health is feeling particularly tenuous right now (probs still effects of gen-anaesthetic), so I've talked a bit about it in my stories. Mainly, what it's like managing anxiety & depression when you work with a substance like booze. DM me/ comment with your thoughts 👇🏻
