@kambiakids has quickly become one of my favorite kids clothing brands!
To put it simply, we are talking about a company that is not only pushing sustainable clothing, but is breaking barriers with gender-free clothing!
Sustainability is something the younger generation won’t appreciate unless we start to teach its importance. This company offers a program called Wear to Wear. They allow you to ship back what your child has grown out of, they recycle the materials and send it to children in need! We only have one earth. Let’s care for it! #motherearth
Another thing I love about this company is that the clothing is made right here in the United States! After going through a fashion design and merchandising program, I learned the grim truth about our ready-to-wear clothing. You ever wonder why it’s so cheap? We have children, men and women slaving in sweat shops. Poorly treated. Underpaid. In dangerous conditions. I understand it’s something that not many know about, but you should learn about it! We have got to do better!
Lastly, my favorite part of all — gender-free clothing! I know many may not understand this, but I feel like we are altering our children’s futures by programming them like robots. We think that certain colors and styles only belong to one gender. We limit our children’s creativity and ultimate potential when we set limits and create boundaries.
We’ve all heard a child say, “No that’s only for girls”, or “Only boys do that”. Guess what, that’s our programming. Just like we aren’t born racist, we aren’t born believing girls can only be doctors, wear pink, and dress frilly. It is a taught mentality, a taught behavior!Stop programming! Let them grow into their own identities!
My daughter will grow to believe she can be/do ANYTHING! I refuse to limit her potential. My unborn son will grow up with the same freedom! Support it!
