Sometimes it’s just not your day. Sometimes things don’t go as planned and your body doesn’t respond the way you want it to.
After battling severe leg cramps for over 10 miles..I decided to pull the plug at mile 32.
Days like today are huge learning experiences. I’m thankful for today, for the opportunity to come race in New York, for my amazing crew that was here with me, and for the experience and growth that came from this race.
I’ll be back stronger, smarter and ready to go soon. Onwards to the next one!
The Black Tusk ☠️☠️☠️ or the trail of death. It’s 5km from the lake but it’s pretty intense. You’re basically rock climbing to get to the top which I wasn’t prepared for. I would’ve started with this hike as it’s most challenging. The view though 👀🧗🏼♀️🌏 #totallyworthit
NSV ALERT!! Tried on this LARGE North Face vest and it picked perfectly! I almost didn’t wanna try it on, but I’m glad I did!! Scale hasn’t moved much in the last month—but I know my body is changing. Didn’t think it would be hard to get out of the mindset that “nothing will fit me here.” I guess for so long I avoided certain stores because I knew things wouldn’t fit me—and while it’ll be many more months before I buy anything at those stores it’s still nice to know that they will be there waiting for me 😍😍
Panorama Ridge ✨🙏🏼 this was my favourite hike by far! From the garibaldi lake camp ground it’s 6.5 km to the top and it’s truly one of the most magical places I’ve ever seen. The next best thing to the view is sliding down the mountain to shave off some km and ice those legs 😂💪🏼
