A boy wades back in empty handed after an evening fishing session. His tools of the trade? An empty plastic bottle wrapped in string with what appeared to be just a rock or weight attached as a lure. // From where Lexi and I stayed in Dalaguete, Cebu, we had an amazing Eastern facing view of the Cebu Strait. You can walk on the coral shelf for hundreds of meters, farther at low tide, and still not be chest deep. At most times of day, but especially mornings and evenings, we could observe the locals fishing with methods like this boy. Another popular method with the adults is to form a circle with weighted nets then throw rocks on the other side of the opening to try and force fish into the trap. Did it work? Well, from our vantage point either the fish were...really small or...not so much. #cebu#philippines#travelstories
I learned a few things about myself today during a root canal:
1) a blanket helps calm me down. I was all snuggly, warm and high under this little number from @gingersnapsies (the blanket doesn’t get you high, the nitrous oxide does..)
2) I really use my tongue to investigate stuff. This was not my dentists favorite trait while she was drilling a hole in my head.
3) I’m a much more empathetic patient than I am nurse. 👩⚕️ I’ve sent patients in the hospital up to major surgeries with just a ‘you’re fine, don’t make such a big deal out of it’ but when I have one small routine out patient procedure done, I want a hashtag started for me like #prayforkb 😂 Ridiculous.
Ok, my face feels like I tried to stop a Toyota with it. 🤕 So I’m going to go snuggle up and binge watch something on Netflix. Suggestions?
This is a little time flow experiment I did few years ago. I took photos from a timelapse to create a continuous animation going from the sunset into the blue hour and back. I used 9 photos, sliced into 144 photoshop layers to get this effect. I hope you like it :) #bratislava#slovakia#timelapse#effect
One of my favorite trips last year was a road trip I took with my best friend through Utah! You never know what there is to see in your own country until you take the time to explore it. “Returning Home & Feeling All the Feels” reassures you that coming home from a long trip is hard, but there are things you can do to combat the travel blues. The weather in Kodaikanal is mercurial. I had spent a bright sunny afternoon wandering through the town, marvelling at the views, when clouds began to roll in. Within half an hour I was walking through mist and clouds. The atmosphere had totally change, trees fading into the distance. It lent the forest a magical air.
A morning panorama from the Dubai marina. If nothing changes, I'm going back to Dubai in a month to get some new photos :) Can't wait :) Don't forget to swipe right to see the rest of this huge panorama. #Dubai#dubaimarina#uae#Panorama

Happy Monday!! The incredible old architecture and beautiful old cars that line the streets offer great photo opportunities in Havana, Cuba. I recommend walking around Old Havana and taking in all the local hype. You can read all about what to do in Havana and in other parts of Cuba at www.gingergypsea.com 📸
