My #transformationtuesday is about heath. The picture on the left was taken today. I am going to talk about myself in third person because I honestly feel like these are 3 different people. The Ashley on the left has eaten completely vegan for 40 days (except for accidentally putting 1 tsp of real half & half in a coffee the other day & not wanting to waste the entire cup, drank it). She has not had any wheat in 40 days (except for accidentally eating French fries battered in flour 1 time & choosing whole grain toast over GF toast at brunch because the GF bread was made with eggs). She works out 5 days a week without any autoimmune flare ups & sleeps well. She no longer takes lactaid 3 times a day or has to take benadryl to counteract a food allergy rash. She is happy, healthy & excited every single day about the new food adventure that she is on. It sounds cheesy but the new Ashley feels so great, she feels like she unlocked the secret to happiness. Just by cutting out some foods that were causing her more harm than good. The new Ashley has only 2 drugs prescribed to her. 1 for severe cramps & hormonal migraines that she takes 1 time each month & the other for travel anxiety that she only takes while traveling. The Ashley in the top right corner was not ok. She was taking daily medication to help her deal with her ADD, anxiety, insomnia, migraines & more anti-inflammatory drugs than anyone should ever take. She was wearing hats almost daily because her hair was falling out. The medicine made her lose her appetite & speed up her metabolism so that she was unable to keep on weight or absorb nutrition. Her bones were showing & her husband was worried. The Ashley on the bottom right was off of all of the medications that were causing her harm but she was also not ok. She was making poor food choices & the shock to her system from stopping the ADD medicine caused her to put on weight very quickly & it would fluctuate sometimes by 8 or 9 pounds every other day. Her inflammation was too bad to workout & she was not ok until she found Chinese medicine and the @toneitup nutrition plan. 35 years old on the left but I feel 10 years younger than I did on the right!

Late last week I decided I needed to take a break from running due to an irritation in my foot ((hoping it’s not tendinitis 🤞🤞)) and now all of a sudden I’m having some intense knee pain 😑 common body! Lol! I’m trying to give my body as much rest as I can but gee whiz 🤣
Still did what I could from today’s studio classes and LG, and tonight I cannot wait for day 4 do the bad yogi 30 day challenge 🎉 🧘♀️ -> and PS honesty post, still majorly struggling with my nutrition 🙄 boooooooo but doing my best this week! The better I do this week, the easier week 1 of the challenge will be!! Have you all come up with goals for the #last90days ?? I would love to hear them! I’m hoping to work on mine tonight! 🤗

Today’s wo was all about legs and glutes with @hasfit_official 30 min muscle building leg video ☠️ goodness gracious. Those lunge holds and calf raises just about killed me. It was a great reminder I can get a great leg workout at home still. I finished off with @toneitup booty band burn with @karenadawn 🙌🏻 time for some pb onos and coffee.
After @studiotoneitupchyna @studiotoneitupstefanie @studiotoneitupchevy kicked my 🍑 today, I decided to increase the cardio with some housework. Meaning I danced with a broom stick and listened to the Aladdin soundtrack.
While chores can be tiring (its work after all) I get a burst of energy from the simple act of detoxing my world. I live for a good detox. The body, the mind, the House— I love it. Clear the clutter and make more room for the things that bring fulfillment to your soul. If something is taking up room and it’s only making you feel worse, remember that it doesn’t need to be there. Clear it out, clean it up, and let it go (oh yes I’ve now switched from Aladdin to the Frozen soundtrack). @toneitup @toneitupnutrition @katrinaascott @karenadawn

1️⃣ I love decorating our apartment for different holidays and Fall/Christmas is my fav! One of the highest compliments I ever have received is people saying our NYC apartment is so cozy and feels like a real home- cause it is! 💜
2️⃣ We just welcomed our daughter, Violet, into the world a little over five weeks ago and she is just magical ✨
3️⃣ I played volleyball for years in school and also on a Club team in Texas- I even helped coach the younger teams (which at one point one of my sister’s played on). I actually haven’t hit a 🏐 since having wrist surgery in 2016 but definitely been feeling that itch that the time has come to not be afraid!
4️⃣ Speaking of which, I had surgery on a torn ligament in my wrist in early 2016 from a bartending injury. It was one of the most tedious, intense recoveries/experiences of my life that taught me a lot of patience and ended me working in the restaurant industry but brought me to a new job opportunity.
5️⃣ I met my #tiuhubby through an old manager when I was working and our initial exchange was some good old fashioned trash talk about 🏈 As you can see from this pic, I’m a Cowboys fan and he’s an Eagles fan. We make serious bets every time we play each other which has included the loser on Christmas cards in the other team’s gear, social media pics being changed to embarrass the other and one amazing video of Anthony singing a Christmas carol rewritten by your’s truly bashing the Eagles and praising my Boys 😂

Speaking of transformations, I mentioned some tests my husband & I had done recently to see where our health is physically. Here’s the thing- I FEEL really good and wasn’t super invested in the results but the results were awesome, marking a pivotal point for me and making me flash back to the days when I just started taking my health back
All my numbers were spot on-my HDL levels were out of this world high, so much so that they’ve knocked my LDL & triglycerides to a non detectable level (blame it on the 🥑s..ok, and the 🌱 + 🏋🏼♀️). Every number that should be high was beyond high and every number that should be low was beyond low. I was told that by judging the numbers alone, it looked like a professional athlete was in training season. And, of course, this was just one aspect of my health;after all, health isn’t just physical. I just see how far I’ve come & I trust how I’m FEELING in my health journey more than a checklist of “should-dos” and this goes to show that feelings don’t lie
That’s really just a pivotal moment for me because back in the day I tore myself and my food and my body apart with numbers. Numbers ruled my world..in a bad way. And now I couldn’t care less about numbers & they’re showing up! For a girl that cared so much in the beginning and yet struggled so hard 👉🏻turned girl who didn’t have to try so hard and who’s health & vitality is everything she ever wanted. From girl who did her food math and calories in, calories out math 👉🏻 turned girl who just eats real food and moves her body. It really is that simple. It really is doable and achievable without punishing yourself and making yourself a psycho🙌🏻 when you decide how you want to feel & make personal choices that get you there, results come in!
I allllllmost didn’t get up this morning. With all the Jewish holidays and days off, my early mornings haven’t been happening, even though workouts are. So that 4:30 am alarm was not welcome! 🙅🏻♀️After too many snoozes, I decided something is better than nothing and got in a 35 minute workout 🙌🏼 Refueled with my current obsession: Chocolate protein powder, PB, mango, banana and spinach. Sounds gross but it’s SO good!
Confession: I’ve been stress eating a little much. 😩 But today when I went to the hospital cafeteria I made a better choice: veggie wrap with fresh spinach, romaine, tomato, black olives and avocado. 🥑 Is was tempted to get chips with it, but I didn’t - yay, me! My dad is doing really well today! He’s now allowed to get up and move around his hospital room without assistance. And he’s been eating his way through the menu and actually enjoying his meals, although he’s anxious to get back into the kitchen!
So happy I got to use my TIU sliders today!! I did Slide ‘N Sculpt, Yoga Sculpt Abs Rock & the Daily Moves on #studiotoneitup . I also added the glute guide add on for the day from the @laurengleisberg fall challenge. 😅🧡 Now to continue my Reign marathon on Netflix... on this rainy day 😆🌧 📺 @toneitup
