Last week was my 3 year fitness anniversary. I started by joining @toneitup and did a lot of @jillianmichaels videos, too. At first, the Pause button was my best friend during workouts. I thought “I’m too old to start now” many times. I made slow but steady progress. These past 12 months have been challenging on a personal level – but fitness-wise a win! This year I added @laurengleisberg (who has nearly killed me several times 🙄and I still love her) and @adrienelouise and her awesome stretches to my routine. Was paired with @workin4gains last summer in the #tiusummerbesties program and made a friend for life. This introvert went to the TIU Tour solo last Fall and met @sassytiu - love her! @dawn.healthyisland and @kellytiu678 started FitBit challenges which are a great way to keep conscious about moving – and meet new TIU ladies! This year I answered @sassiefrass77_tiu post for an Accountability Partner for the #tiubikiniseries and we both are enjoying our best BS thus far, and a new friendship, too! Had my first IRL #tiumeetup with my very first TIU friend @gcupito this May. I turned 54 earlier this month, and wore a sleeveless dress for the first time EVER last week. I share this because I learned a lot these last 12 months.....it has not been an easy year - but fitness and the friends we meet here - are a lifestyle and support system like no other. I've been inspired by how dedicated she is to all of her pursuits. @jasperstameyfit who I felt an instant, and I hope not creepy, connection with. New job means new hours and that mean pretty much the whole entire house is up trying to get ready for something and what's a mom to do? Well she sets her #tiubc alarm clock for 4:57 am and gets moving before everyone else so I can then sneak into the shower between humans. #nevermissamonday Even after a 42km bike ride in 9 degrees Celsius rainy weather. Did day 1 of #laurengleisberg 30x30 for my BC. I'm traveling A LOT this month and this way I've got new excuses to maintain a daily exercise regimen. I did PMWO with #ringside 🥊 at @lesmillsaucklandcity. Finally really getting back into a good ole exercise routine again. Been putting in a lot of miles in this week and my legs were feeling sore so I decided that this is going to be an active recovery rest day. Did the 5 dms & Bikini Yoga with Karena in Ibiza - felt so good and my body loved it! Now I'm back here in the #tiuchicagosuburbs enjoying a @kodiakcakes waffle & a bit of maple syrup. How much water do you aim for a day? I recently downloaded an app called My Water that sends me reminders throughout the day to drink up. My goal has been to aim for 100oz a day, overall it's going pretty well but do struggle some days to drink enough. •
Does anyone have tips for getting more water in? 💦
