Now this is how you go through an aid-station like a Pro!👌@patricklange1 cooling himself off with a bottle of Coke! 😂 Anyone giving this a go at their next race? 😆 Hey, if it works for the Double World Champ, right?! -
Would love to get @patricklange1's comment on this, haha. Everyone tag him in the comments so we get his attention! 👇😁 - 📽️ @ironmantri
After a LONG workday I forced myself to put the work in at the pool. 2k done & this little beauty as a reward. Triathlons don’t train for themselves & I’m so glad (& proud) to be putting in the work.... 17 weeks to Geelong ..... The work happens here.
#transformationtuesday I suppose? Sunday -> Monday. Effing Texas weather.
Okay, fine, fine. I know that's not the spirit of the hashtag. Is it ok if I'm sick of sharing fat pictures of myself? If you want to dig into any January of my blog you can find them, and if you knew me a decade ago it's no secret, but let's just say I had issues walking across a parking lot without getting out of breath. I was pretty freaking overweight.
I don't regret it as I learned how to be a designer and run a game creatively, but I wish it wouldn't have gone so far sometimes. But, que sera sera.
I worked my way back to healthy a decade ago and then slowly lost it as i got into endurance sports. Weirdly as it sounds, for almost a decade, I fought the fact that I felt what I had to do (watch my calories) was unfair with my training, and I ballooned up a little before I got it in check this year.
I'm not an after yet. I've lost 25 lbs since my highest in the last 3 years and I have more to go to be done... but for now, I'm feeling pretty damn happy and confident about how I look and more importantly feel so I'm celebrating that.
Ran along kaanapali today into Lahaina - and it felt like a breezy cool morning compared to this million degree run I did with @rosannekelley in Kona. Miss having a running buddy but glad to be in Maui.
Dear Ironman Lou, you threw rain + 45-55 degree temps at me & tried to get me to quit. You almost got me to & trust me, I wanted to quit. This finish line means more than any race I’ve ever done because it was that much harder. I’ll post more details soon, but for now, thank you to IMLOU & the volunteers for keeping me smiling on this rainy, cold day. As always thank you to my mom, dad & sister for chasing me around and keeping my spirits high. My body is sore but my heart is full 💕
Officially out of the competitive race in Ibiza after picking up a stress fracture in my foot. Gutted, but I’m looking forward to celebrating what has been a break through season for me 🍾#offseasonfuel#timetrialtuesday
