One bad fall, two round trips, three late nights, yet we will do it all over again. 💕
One thing I always remind myself when comes to parenting - Even when he breaks his bones, don’t break his spirit.
I had a glimpse of it this trip when Yong had a bad fall. It was a bad feeling seeing his flesh and a ‘broken’ bike. In my heart I wished that he could miss this race but yet I knew he will be disappointed. While his wounds were still bleeding, he was calling different bike shops in JB to see how they could fix it. Turned out that it was bike specified so we had to bring another bike over. (This explains the second round trip from SG to JB.) Yes, he had a bad fall but his will was stronger for him to compete in the race. So kudos to this old man. Beanie and I are proud of you.
Though we weren’t physically around throughout the race, bean (in his dream) and me (on lazy couch watching YanXi Palace) were cheering and praying for your safety. Thank you for swimming, riding, running /walking back to the finish.
Thanks to @teamwyn, I could spot Yong from afar. Could recognise him so much easier since most athletes were in black suits. 🥕 he looks like a carrot. Hahaha!
