🦅 NYC Wild Birds from A to Z 🦅
L is for Lesser Yellowlegs. This is a kind of funny bird recognized by its long, bright yellow legs and graceful stride. They are shorebirds so they can be seen along the beaches and nearby wetlands. In NYC you can find them around Great Kills Park located on southern shore of Staten Island during the spring. Unfortunately they won’t stay long in the bay as they will continue its long migration northward to nest.
They are usually accompanied by their larger contener, the Greater Yellowlegs. They both actually look very similar but the Lesser is quite smaller, so keep that in mind. .
Ok that’s all about this little one for now. Stay pretty wild guys and remember to always look up!! .

🐻 @mariazizka and I had a rough experience with a printer last year. The silver lining was that we decided to own our #letter#printing game. (We write a lot of letters.) Soon we’ll be able to print ourselves at @sanfranciscocenterforthebook! I made this card at our first workshop - it’s printed from #metaltype set by hand. It’s an #insidejoke. Get it? 😂
After a few months I’m finally getting used to the commute to and from London. As most of my life is now spent on trains, it’s really taught me to appreciate my free time and use it more wisely and productively. Even though it’s tiring sometimes, I love my job and the people I work with so I know it’s worth the effort.
