Temperatures on the rise made me turn to a green tea. Lucky for me I have something new in that department. The Pre-Chingming Silver Sprout Green Tea @uptonteaimports whose dry leaves smell like the nougat in a milk chocolate candy bar. The yellow liquor is a full bodied cup of brown buttered corn on the cob. This is a savory tea with a trailing *apricot sweetness.
Tea time! Here’s my shelf of choices at the barn. Mornings with Assams or bright blends, afternoons with Ceylon or Darjeeling or mint. I found some great canisters at Upton Tea and have been printing my own labels for them on my inkjet. Most pictures I find on the web — tea plantations and specific locales. It’s fun to use the actual castle on the loch in Scotland for Scottish Breakfast, the remains of Kenilworth Castle for a Ceylon of the same name, an aerial photo of the River Shannon for that blend, an ancient map that shows Frisia for Upton’s East Frisian. #tea#uptonteaimports#assam#ceylon#kenilworth#rivershannon#labels
