When I was pregnant, I was always very conscious of what products I was using and wanted to do the very best. I trusted companies when they put words like “clean” or “green” on their products, not knowing that there are so many companies that do something called “greenwashing”. Basically that means they use words on the label to make you think what you’re buying is safe when it’s actually not.
I fell for that marketing more times than I’d like to admit, even buying the “special” baby laundry detergent in the pink and white bottle. That right there should have set off an alarm. Babies need special detergent because they’re so fragile, but our adult skin is fine to put..what exactly, all over it? 🤔 And at what age does it become ok to use more hormone disrupting, cancer causing chemicals on your clothes? Our skin is our largest organ and whatever we put on it gets absorbed into our bodies and delivered to every single organ, which is why ingredients matter so incredibly much.
We know better now, and use a half capful of this soap every time we wash a load, no matter who’s clothes are in it. We all deserve the best, I deserve that peace of mind, and at around 40¢ per cycle, there’s really no reason not to.
