In essence, this photo is a poor representation of not only new techniques in vocal training I’ve learnt but also a new perspective. I use to believe (and I’m sure we all did once) that as long as we sit up straight, belt those notes out like we are about to die and practicing till you feel like your throat would break - id get the best voice possible. I was wrong. I don’t think we realise how much our emotional state or brains play a part in our abilities. The person I can thank for that change that I needed is @qinxen. It’s not your typical “let’s sit in a room and do karaoke”. It actually involves your mind, body and soul. They are simple things once you realise them - but it’s something you’d never think of affecting your voice but it does. I’ve attended a lot of vocal schools, coaches, lessons, DIY cds the lot - but I haven’t learnt as much as I have with @qinxen.
If there’s one person that can unlock yourself from your own brains denial of how fucking awesome you can be it’s him.
