I want to swim in here so badly. If I was guaranteed not to go over the ledge and freefall for almost a hundred feet. Though that would be really fun if I was guaranteed not to die or get hurt. Lots of guarantees here.
Happy water-trickle-falls Wednesday! It always amazes me how all the little streams and tiny sources of water add up to create creeks and rivers and how typically the main source, or rather the beginning, is usually nothing more then a trickle of water bubbling out of the side of a mountain. I'll always remember visiting the source of the Sacramento river, and most recently the source of the McKenzie River, and just being blown away seeing the water bubble out and grow as it begins its flow.
Happy Top List Tuesday! Making sure you all are flowing into this week with a refreshing splash! -
So this is a story that must be told.. though this image looks so peaceful and calm getting here was anything but that! After leaving the tourists behind and getting some sketchy local directions my best friend and I bounced down a dirt road, past some fences, and finally pulled out by a pile of dirt as was instructed.
The trail to this mystery local spot was plastered with signs that read.. "Do not enter! Water is contaminated!! Deadly parasite infestation! " this only encouraged us forward... once we arrived at this falls and saw some locals swimming we soon realized the signs were a ploy to keep the tourists at bay! Haha
Life lesson never give up pursuing the less traveled road. Only the persistent who live without fear find the treasures in this life. Cheers to pressing forward! .
