There are so many plant sources for the medicinal benefits of essential oils. For some reason I forget to include that they even come from plants that we consider “weeds”...plants that we have written off as a nuisance. Thankfully our adventurous founder didn’t have those mental restrictions and he was always on the search for new essential oil sources. Maybe that’s why we have such an incredible selection of oils. At convention, a new (to YL) oil was released. This plant is found along the Southern coasts of Australia and Tasmania. To the natives, it was considered a weed, but it was noticed that where it touched barbed wire fencing there was no rust. The oxidative powers of this “weed” must been pretty amazing! The oil I’m describing is Kunzea oil. It’s scent is fresh and awakening, but very gentle.
