Two words: Champions adapt. I heard this phrase a few weeks ago and it lit a fire under my butt. I had a major set back this summer and out of all the choices old me wanted to make - I chose to adapt. Adapt to learning to eat healthier while I had to deal with the stress of bills and physical therapy. Adapt to finding new ways to move when I couldn’t workout. Adapt to finding new ways to handle emotions and stress that didn’t involve food. That’s what we’re all always doing on this journey. Adapting to a new lifestyle and fighting for our health each and every day. Never underestimate how much of a champion you are.
Week 3 Day 2 of Max 30 ✅.
This is 5 months post partum with baby #2 a mama pooch that I’m not ashamed of at all! I have been having a lot of people coming up to me recently saying “wow you lost a lot of weight.” Which in case I have because I have been CONSISTENT with my workout program & nutrition plan. I make sure that my daily workouts (no more than 30 minutes) are NON-negotiable & my meal plan I follow to a “T” 80% of the time aka if I want the cookie I’m going to have it and not deprive myself.
I have been doing the same thing since June and I have consistently been seeing progress. It’s not a quick fix or something that can be changed over night.
I have been seeing all over both my Facebook & Instagram feeds the pressure for new moms to “drop all the baby weight” & if they don’t fit into their pre-baby clothes within a certain amount of time they are considered failures in society. Which both are absolutely appalling because taking care of another human (in my case 2 humans under the age of four) it’s HARD. I obviously want to be a “fitmama” but I make the 30 minutes and conscience effort with my meal plan everyday to now it’s routine and doesn’t feel like a chore. Instead of making excuses to skip my workouts and fall off of the wagon, especially excuses using my babies. Some days are harder than others but i make sure that it gets done.
So to all my FITMAMAS whether you are on day 1 of your journey or day 1836 remember you are beautiful & you are doing an amazing job.
OH AND your journey is YOUR journey, never forget that!

The kids are still asleep (at 7:34!) so I’m taking a minute to myself before we start TUESDAY, aka the day where we have no plans or obligations, aka the most stressful day of our week. Oddly thankful for my body’s self-induced colon cleanse last night that had me in the bathroom on and off for THREE HOURS. Woke up to 151.8 (which is 49.8 pounds lost this year) this morning! Not sure that will maintain through the week but I’m on day two of no junk, not even keto “junk” and I feel good. @veronicas_wljrny we’re finishing out this year strong! And thankful to @stoptheyoyonicole and #nicoles28dayketochallenge for the motivation to push through and start January 1 on a high for the first time EVER in my life. ✨ keto really is MAGIC you guys #ketoresults
