*sculpt your body-remember though you cannot change your shape but with the right training you can develop your physique to its best
Always work with what you have ❤️
*bones- it increases bone density and actually reduces the risk of osteoporosis (I found learning about this so interesting!)
*muscle- builds muscle tone protects our joints from injury and keeps us flexible *improves stamina & sleep
*most importantly know the proper technique-form is so important avoiding injuries.
Take my mam for example since she added in resistance/strength training a while back she’s increased her muscle mass, changed her body composition and strength levels.
She’s super fit and combined with her food to complement her training she feels great these days.
I might be biased though because I absolutely love weight training and what it does for me.
If it’s something you’d like to try...go for it 💪
Working out from home does mean you may need to invest in some equipment.
When I started...the first program I did was 21 Day Fix. I used 3 & 5 pound weights that I inherited from Jeff’s mom.
Eventually I got stronger and Jeff made me 10 pound weights out of an old plate weight set (is that even what you call it) he got off kijiji for cheap.
After two rounds of 21 Day Fix, Jeff joined me and we started 80 Day Obsession. The equipment you need can be included in your Challenge Pack (start up kit) or Completion Pack (add on kit). All it is is 3 loops and 2 sliders (no not this kind of sliders 🍔). Plus you need light, medium and heavy weights.
Jeff dropped a pretty penny on upgrading our weights. But here’s the thing. You don’t have to. You can just add to your set as you get stronger. Jeff and I lift different weights (obviously💪) so it made sense to invest in a bigger set.
If weights are still too much for you...get resistance bands. And if they’re too much use food cans from your cupboard.
At the end of the day what you invest in equipment you’ll SAVE in TIME (to and fro the gym...and working around their class schedule) and MONEY (meal plans are included in the programs...you’ll be eating healthier and crowding out the eating out). .
Whatever you do...don’t let your lack of weights stop you from team tackling our health together.
