So we will be adding a new member of the family probably in 2020(though there is a POSSIBILITY it maybe 2021 but it will likely be 2020, as long as it is 2020 these will be the parents), a mid content wolfdog, these are the will be parents, these animals belong to @hootswolfdogs , I already have names picked out, if female Atsila(pronounced aht-SEE-lah), if male then it will be Sebastian, now I will say wolfdogs are NOT for everyone, many people want these beautiful animals because they think it would be cool to have an animal that looks similarly to a wolf but the personality of a dog, or because they want a badass guard dog however you will not get that from a wolfdog, these animals are a lot of work, they need a raw diet, a enclosure that is at least 8ft (or 6 ft with a 2ft lean) with a lean at the top and a dig guard at the bottom, these animals are a lot of work, they normally have a VERY high prey drive, and are prone to same sex aggression(though not every wolfdog has it but it is not uncommon)are typically timid of new places and people therefor they need a lot of socialization from a young age, they are not good house dogs, they will destroy your things if left unattended and are hard to house break, also they are NOT good guard dogs, the most they MIGHT do is growl at an intruder but they will probably run away with their tail in between their legs, they are also prone to separation anxiety so if you leave them in your house alone unattended without any kind of containment prepare to come home to chewed up furniture, walls, etc, also a common MYTH about them is they are confused as to what they are, they are in no way shape nor form are confused, they are not unpredictable animals that will turn on you for no reason, they are actually easier to read then most domesticated dogs, they are also SMARTER then your average dog, that being said do not mistake “smart” with easy to train, they are not the type of dog to blindly obey #dog#cat#bunny#adventure#love#life#happy#fun#beauty#new#picoftheday#cute#bestoftheday#instagood#photooftheday#family#wolfdogs#photo#beautiful#follow#smile#pretty#photography#wolfdog#wolf#black#tbt
Someone asked about the benefits of giving the dogs coconut oil. There are many! I use it everyday too. I add it to my coffee and then the dogs run over to get their spoonful every morning. I’ll post some benefits in the comment section. #luna#archer#dogs#wolfdogs#coconutoil#healthyfood#animals
