Last night I got to join my fellow sisters in calling women across the US to encourage them to get out and vote November 6. With as much anger as there is amongst women at the moment, it was one of the most uplifting and empowering evenings I’ve had in a while. It was so incredible to be surrounded with like minded women, to be able to talk freely about our personal experiences during the election and after without judgement, and to be in a safe space of encouragement and shared goals. What you might see on the news is a bunch of angry protesters, which certainly has merit and purpose, but behind them are incredible women who are organizing, talking, learning, educating, calling, collaborating and banding together to fight the patriarchy, affect change and get ourselves not just one, but many, seats at the table. We’re not going anywhere. We’re fighting like hell. And we will not be silenced. Thank you to the @womensmarch for bringing us together. #callyoursisters#powertothepolls#makingmytvdebut#fightlikehell#whoruntheworld#womensempowerment#votenovember6
The moment you tune out all the critics, the moment you tune out your inner critics and begin to focus on your goal, that’s when a moment of change arises. Allow yourself to dream of the impossible and extend your mind beyond the social construct of what it means to be successful. Match your mind with your talent and your talent with your mind. It’s possible. “Great minds think alike”
but even greater minds think of what has not been thought of.

In Assam, Water Hyacinth is a major problem in the waterways, it grows rampantly and is causing significant issues from water loss through evaporation, reduction of biodiversity with other aquatic plants unable to survive and reduced fish due to the proliferation of plant matter in the water. With the abundance of the raw materials free to be harvested, creating beautiful handcrafted products that are completely biodegradable is an opportunity to rejuvenate the environment and provide a sustainable livelihood option for rural women. These gorgeous baskets are the first samples using the sun dried fiber, we think there’s huge potential to develop this skill 🌱🌱#sustainableliving#ecofriendly#biodiversity#womensempowerment#handcrafted#supportartisans#clothandco

The seed cannot know what is going to happen, the seed has never known the flower. And the seed cannot even believe that he has the potentiality to become a beautiful flower. Long is the journey, and it is always safer not to go on that journey because unknown is the path, nothing is guaranteed. Nothing can be guaranteed. Thousand and one are the hazards of the journey, many are the pitfalls, and the seed is secure, hidden inside a hard core. But the seed tries, it makes an effort; it drops the hard shell which is its security, it starts moving. Immediately the fight starts: the struggle with the soil, with the stones, with the rocks. And the seed was very hard and the sprout will be very, very soft and dangers will be many. There was no danger for the seed, the seed could have survived for millennia, but for the sprout many are the dangers. But the sprout starts towards the unknown, towards the sun, towards the source of light, not knowing where, not knowing why. Great is the cross to be carried, but a dream possesses the seed and the seed moves. The same is the path for man. Much courage will be needed.
The inscription reads: I Am Black And Indeed Beautiful.

Blessèd is She who reminds us
that we are children of Earth. ---
Like Italian women, the culture they carry and their figurehead, the Black Madonna, is often rendered invisible. She has been whitewashed, lied about, covered up, but she is everywhere.
Yes. Across. Europe.
If our (Italian-American) ancient Greco-Roman toxic patriarchy is indeed the source of the disease of the Western white supremacist patriarchy, then perhaps it is our ancient black Mediterranean matriarch who holds a cure. 💠
There has been work, quiet work, not well-published or given a public stage, among Italian Americans, particularly the women, to restore our symbol of cultural plurality. Of cultural warmth. Of abbraccio (embrace) that is the core of our cultural soul. 💠
This is the work of returning to ourselves. 💠
We must practice being the people we have always been, a people with cultural plurality and ethnic fluidity.
A people that, like water, flow in between.
Nothing super extravagant today but THANK YOU JESUS!!!!
Sometimes we get so caught up in life that we forget to take a minute to just appreciate God for who He is and all that He has done. A few weeks ago I was so consumed with my situation and then something, well the spirit of God hit me so hard that all I could say was Thank you! 💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
No we may not be where we want to be, no we may not have everything that we would like. Yes we may be struggling, yes we may be tired and fed up. BUT God is STILL GOD and He is STILL GOOD!!!!!! And even if you’re so hurt by what you maybe going through right now, take a minute to look back over your life and ALL God has been to you, done for you, and brought you through. Man, when I think about it l, I can’t help but say Lord I thank you!!!! And forgive me Father, if I don’t say thank you enough because You’ve been better than good to me!!! 💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
Get a quick FLASHBACK. Take a minute to tell God thank you, for the things that you don’t even know that He’s done on your behalf. Let Him know that you appreciate Him, because after all we are sooooo unworthy and God doesn’t have to do anything in all actuality, yet He loves us enough to do so.
Eighty days of blood, sweat (lots of it), and tears. •
I have NEVER finished a workout program so I am pumped to say the least. I have grown so much as a woman in these last 80 days that it’s truly unbelievable the transformations I have seen. •
Mind. Body. Spirit. •
I am truly speechless. I just don’t even have words with how I feel. I am seriously SO LUCKY to be a part of this family. •
I cannot WAIT to start the next program on Monday (I’m so excited that I’m actually previewing it this weekend). I’ve never been bummed to not get a workout in..that’s how good I feel. It’s because of the fitness and nutritional aspects that I’ve never felt better. •
If you want to snag a spot in my next group (STARTING MONDAY 10/22), message me or drop an emoji and I’d love to send you all the details. •
