Such a cute photo of @the_other_fox_sister in her handmade coat using our fabric "Priscilla", she also shares with us her sewing journey, make sure you expand to read the entire post.
1. How did you get into sewing?
I started making clothes at a pretty young age. They were handstitched and horrendously made but always had an interesting approach. I loved the idea of being creative in a way I could display through wearing. I learned how to use a sewing machine at my intermediate school and my parents bought me a Bernina for my birthday soon after. I sewed on that until I learned how to use an industrial machine during my fashion design degree.
2. What drawn you to this fabric?
I was drawn to the pink tweed mostly because it was pink. I don’t wear much black or white and my wardrobe is a mixture of plain and patterned blues, greens, purples, and a lot of pink and yellow. I’d been looking for a pink coating for a while and this was the perfect weight for a Sapporo coat. I even came back for more to make a skirt so I would have a matching set.
3. Tell us about your next #drapersproject.
My next #drapersproject will be some self-drafted flared trousers in a pink and red patterned fabric I picked up last time I was there.
