Do you feel like you're always on a treadmill? So much to do for the family, the house, for work? Busy being mum, daughter, wife, friend, colleague. No room for you?
Well, I used to feel that way too, until I decided the only person who could change how I felt about that was me.
I want to help you start running your life in a direction that you like, that you feel much happier going towards. Where there is space for you, even amongst all your other commitments (even if only a few minutes a day). Starting with very short mindful meditation breathing audios (only three minutes long, everyone can find three minutes to help themselves...) I can help you to feel better.
If you're a mum who wants more success, and far less stress, then get off the treadmill RIGHT NOW!

And working hard for someone you love, is called parenting.
We shared this quote at our event last week and it really resonated with the crowd. Working for something you love energises you and fills your cup but if you're not working for something you love, the opposite is true.
If something needs to change in your workplace to make things better for you and your family, we encourage you to take a step towards your happy, whatever that looks like; it might be flexible hours so you can be there for school pick up or taking on more responsibility and learning a new skill to secure that promotion. It might mean saying goodbye to the 9 to 5 in favour of something completely new.
One on the biggest lessons we've learned in business, and as parents, is that the first step is putting yourself out there and asking the question.
Guten Morgen! 🌞 Kennt ihr das von euren Kleinen? Flugzeuge gucken ist so spannend und Holli hört sie auch immer als Erstes. Das liegt vermutlich auch daran, dass sich schon so abgestumpft dem Geräusch gegenüber bin. 🙉

Have you ever dared to gift yourself a mama sabbatical? To take a well-deserved holiday from being permanently available for other people? ⠀
I have just got back from 4 days of wild woman camping in the Forest of Dean. It was enforced rather than gifted (I'd envisaged close-bonding, mama time - me and three kids, immersed in nature) but after 14.5 weeks of builders on my back, a study that has turned into a temporary furniture storage room and 4.5 weeks of kids on holiday at home, I snapped (literally) and decided that what I needed most of all was me-time, and a much-needed break from being bombarded by and tending to other people's demands. ⠀
To find out how the camp changed me, why skinny dipping in the nearby lake made me cry, and how the experience redefined for me what it means to be truly wild, sign up to receive my latest mama mail by clicking on the link in my bio or copy and paste the following: http://bit.ly/bobomama⠀
And when you've read it, I'm dying to know - what does wild look like to you, mamas? ⠀
Interesting fact about me? I rode horses growing up. I rode at my trainer’s everyday after school and I would compete at open shows and 4-H on the weekends. Other kids played sports, but I rode horses.
It’s something I desperately want my boys to know how to do. Riding a horse is a highly underrated skill, because who travels by horse besides the Amish? But being in control of 800 pounds and telling it how and where to carry you is not something you just do. It’s hundreds of hours of riding lessons and it requires endless patience and discipline.
Occasionally, I was teased by boys in school for riding horses. Never by girls, a lot of them were actually jealous. But the boys generally thought it was “sissy” or “nerdy”. They were all “too cool” for it, horses were “dumb” or “pointless”... I never understood this attitude boys had about it, but I remember thinking if I ever had boys, they were going to know how cool riding a horse truly is.
My parents still have one horse from my childhood. Amos. He’s about 27 years old, blind in one eye, and spends 99% of his time nibbling at the clover around my parents’ property. And to joys of my heart, Theo has shown a genuine interest in horses. He loves any movie with horses and when he sees one, he immediately asks if he can “dee” the horse (“dee” is his #apraxia word for “drive”).
So you can imagine how special it was to have my friend @abeillephotography capture me and Theo, taking Amos on a brief stroll through my parents’ paddock in the evening golden light a couple weeks ago. Theo has no fear and you can see in his eyes how amazing he feels being up there.
My dream is to own a young horse again someday, to teach my boys a skill that’s been practiced for millennia. And when the girls talk about going riding after school, my boys will chime in and be ready to join them. Because riding a horse shouldn’t just be for girls. It’s hella badass and if you don’t think so, YOU’RE the nerd.
This is the truth.
The unfiltered, beautiful and messy truth.
My hair has been washed once in the last week and a half...ok, why lie.
And the one time was just before I returned to my full time retail store job as a store manager where I assumed I needed to look somewhat human for the public eye.
Or how about the truth where I tell you that my eyeliner is basically just half washed off and drawn back over because I might be too exhausted to fully scrub my face but also...I’m afraid of how tired I might look in the mirror after I do that I’ve avoided it all together to prevent a full out mental collapse right there on the bathroom floor.
I didn’t bathe the baby tonight. And even though I SHOULD be taking advantage of his sleep, I probably won’t put him in bed tonight because I miss him so much. Yeah, yeah...co-sleeping attackers, bring it. You see, I’m armed with emotional disarray and am possibly surviving only on espresso, minutes of sleep and a LOT of dry shampoo...this is no beast you want to wake from slumber.
I have worked out exactly zero days this week. For someone who’s mission and passion is encouraging other women to live a healthy lifestyle and be grateful they can take a sweaty selfie once a day...this can’t be how this is supposed to work.
I’ve also managed to have four full, real meals. In the last five days. Yeah, it’s not the insta-perfect “coachy” thing to say. But I refuse to continue the lie that social media makes us believe as women. That we have to do 1001 things in each 24 hour period exactly perfect and without hesitation or stumble.
Enough is enough.
Some days we win.
Some days...well some days are just crazier than others, but we still win.
Because girlfriend, you are so strong.
You are so smart.
And you have accomplished much.
And you WILL accomplish much.
Sometimes things can take a back burner.
Like the laundry in the dryer you’ve been pulling clean socks out of for three days.
Or the recycling that has missed the last two run days because taking it out has slipped your mind. (Keep reading in comments)
