Me getting my butt kicked by @bsbhealthyyy at @lunayogatribe ‘s summer party event! 🔥 🌝
I commend @ashley_luck for being brave with her life + heading up to DC to visit & get more than she bargained for by trying Buti for the first time with me. 😝❤️ You rocked it, sis. 👌🏻
Thank you Gretchen for hosting such an awesome event! 🌞
Warrior 2 —> Side plank #movecreateflow This was my first time attempting to grab the toe and extend my leg in side plank! It was super fun but very challenging, I look forward to working on it. This sequence creating challenge has been soo good for me, I’m loving it! @alexzandrapeters @adellbridges @laurasykora
you are responsible for what you see.
half full or half empty, the choice is yours.
i was just diagnosed with a bulging disc in L4, carrying to L5 (low back / sacrum area) after injuring myself at the gym yesterday. been in pretty excruciating pain since and now i can’t move for 4-8 weeks depending on my recovery.
to start, i can’t sit for 4 days & have to sleep on the floor for the next week, can’t stretch or so yoga- the thing that keeps me sane. i was bummed at first to say the least. but, here’s the thing. it could be worse.
i have the chance now to come back stronger than ever - and avoid gnarly surgery. you better believe im taking that opportunity v seriously!
so, even though my body is in pain and my ego is bruised, i am v grateful that my body is resilient, my health is prime for recovery, and that i have the ability to afford the best treatment! 👇what blessings have you counted today?👇

I don’t know what I would do without the wonderful humans who chose to be my students! Age, experience, gender, injury, whatever, it doesn’t matter!!
Yoga is for everyone!
If you have been hesitant, why no give it a go? What’s the worst that could happen?
I have been receiving some very lovely testimonials lately, and I just can’t help but share!! 💙

Yayy, it's our last second day of ✨
Theme is "vision" 👁️🗨️ Hosted by lovely @larcenciel04 🌈
This third eye chakra is the seat of consciousness and as well as our “sixth” sense, often referred to as the psychic chakra. Controlling the mental activities of the lower brain and the nervous system. It's is also known as Chakra, meaning ‘to perceive’ in Sanskrit.
So, while your eyes see the material world, Ajna chakra helps you look into deeper realms: intuition, clairvoyance, imagination, creativity and visualization.
Going through life without intuition is like driving a car which has no side mirror and no rearview mirror. All you can see is just straight ahead
It's a little difficult theme to share my personal experience, but I just noticed I love to practice with my eyes closed. Like @cheyenne.yoga mentioned in her post, we are able to draw our attention more inward. By getting rid of the sight, we can sharpen our other senses.
Although I still can't close my eyes in 😬

Last day here at San Juan 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Let's talk about Love.
In vedic literature and the beginning of the kamasutra, the concept of Love is discussed.
Hindu philosophy has 3 categories of Love -
Kama ( lust ), Prema ( companionship ), and
Sneha ( friendship or loyalty ). In a monogamous relationship, there is kama for the first 2 something years and then it changes into prema and around 7 years or so later, into sneha.
Knowing this is poweful. It means that if you've been in a long term relationship >2 years, expect that some of that initial sizzle would be replaced by a comfortable movie night where you compromise over what to watch. This is not a rule...dont get me wrong...but more of a generalization. Your brain stops producing the same amounts of dopamine (The High hormone )that it did in the initial courtship...and it would be replaced by oxytocin (The Caring hormone). Expect also, that you could still be triggered by other people to produce dopamine...the lust hormone. This is perfectly normal. It is biology and chemistry.
What is not normal, is to act on these short term triggers from external influences and ve complacent about your long term relationships. That leads to Adharma and falsehood and cheating.
Relationships evolve. We have a duty towards ourselves and others to live our truths. Knowing your triggers is part of that truth. Learning how to Love and live without hurting ourselves and others is the Ultimate Dharma.
