Day 6 of the #ceLABrateYogaDay#yogachallenge 👁 Vision/Seeing; Drishti is such an important aspect of one’s practice. The second my eyes start to wander off while in a balancing pose, I just lose it 😅 But when our sight is taken away and we’re forced to rely on our other senses and inner vision, how does that make you feel? It’s definitely scary at first, but once we’re able to overcome that initial fear, a deeper connection with the body and breath can be found. We’ll be able to focus more on our practice, leaving no room for judgment and doubt 🧘🏻♀️ Attempting some headstand variations with my eyes closed for today’s theme (please excuse my upside down resting yoga face. I was trying really hard not to fall 😂)
Day 5 of the #ceLABrateYogaDay#yogachallenge 💃🏻 Expression; I’ve never really had an issue with expressing myself. In fact, I probably have the opposite of that problem- I have trouble controlling my feelings and keeping them in check, and often times I let it get the better of me. Something that used to help me stay sane was dancing. Dancing was an outlet for me to channel all my emotions and freely express myself through movement. To me, it is such a powerful form of non-verbal expression and communication. I’ve chosen this fallen triangle pose for today’s theme because whenever I flow into this pose, it makes me feel like I’m on stage again, laying out my raw emotions and dancing my heart out✨
We are really proud of Zi Yun, whom recently managed to achieve 2nd place in Novice Category for Pumpfest Bouldering Competition in Singapore! 🥈💪🏻 Dharana Yog have been working closely with Singapore Polytechnic's climbers and their coach, Irwan, to assist in developing well rounded climbers! 🧗🏻♀️ Zi Yun's hardwork is solely hers, and we are happy to be given the opportunity to guide such inspiring individuals to optimised their sport's performances!
