Slow movement means my muscles have to work for longer in each position and I have time to assess what's working and what isn't.
Slow movement allows me to make choices about what I'm going move and when I'm going to move it, putting my brain in the driver's seat. #mindfulmovement

If I were dealing with a back, hip or knee issue then moving slowly would give me time to keep myself safe and strong by having time to stop before shifting into a range or position that didn't feel good. That would offer me an opportunity for confident, productive success! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hanging out with Krishna Das Baba, the best singing bowl and Reiki practitioner I’ve ever met. Need to get back over to India soon as I’d to learn more about both subjects, but unfortunately that will have to wait until 2018. My last yoga class of 2017 is tonight’s Inversion Immersion class. I taught inversions all week and today ended class with pinchamayurasana and sirsasana. Was wonderful to see students get upside and several told that it was their first time getting up and how excited they were to get up. You never know what’s possible until you try. Inversions are great for giving you a different perspective and by creating dopamine , are natural anti depressants. Invert away !! One inversion per day keeps the doctor away. :) ——————————————————-
#kurmasana "Pancake pose" I've been wanting to lay flat for sometime for so long! When I first seen this pose...I thought ouch!! I'll never make it there. I wasnt even planning on practicing yoga today but fell into the beautiful practice because my body was calling for it! I came to my favorite magical space and tuned out the rest of the world in my flexibility sequence I made up for myself. It felt amazing!
Sunday's never felt so good! It's amazing what practice will lead you to! It will take you there exactly where your wanting to go and level up to! Things happen when you let go and let it fall into place in divine timing all on it's own! Keep going!! Escape into your power every single day! I loved the fact that I saw angels numbers all day and there was a beautiful wedding happening above me! Really beautiful energy.
Rad day throwing down with the homies. Things didn't go perfect but we learned and enjoyed hanging out with a great group of people. Yes, it always feels good to win but at the end of the day I love this Crossfit stuff no matter what. Can't wait for the next one.
