••BEING PULLED IN ALL DIRECTIONS•• Sometimes it’s so challenging to stay whole when I’m being pulled in a million different directions. I’m a yoga teacher, yogi, best friend, business woman, wife, daughter, mentor, house keeper, makeshift therapist, sportswoman, artist all wrapped up into one, and somewhere in there I need to find time to stop and just be. It seems like it’s a status symbol these days, and especially in London, to be crazy busy… to be on fire! But fires aren’t always sustainable: The best ones eventually fizzle out, and if they don’t get the right amount of oxygen and kindling, they become ashes. The ‘busy cult’ drains our relationships, us physically and our true potential. When we are constantly ‘busy’ we aren’t truly present and by trying to control everything, we risk enjoying nothing. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that work (whatever that may look like for you) will always be there, but the connections and moments that we cherish and are intrinsic to our humanity, won’t be. Sometimes we need to just relax, breath and let gooooo. And so I’m battling the leisure guilt this evening and having a very indulgent evening in with Matt doing a.b.s.o.l.u.t.e.l.y. n.o.t.h.i.n.g.
The ART OF YOGIC ASSISTS • for teachers and curious students this Sunday:
Hands-on assists from a knowledgeable yoga teacher have the ability to guide practitioners into optimal alignment, deeper expression and greater expansion. In this workshop, Matthew Lombardo will lead a thorough overview of assists for back bends and savasana. As a foundation, Matthew will go over establishing one's own stability and deciding how to best assist. Experiential partner work will give students the opportunity to dive deeper into specific assists and tactile cues. Sunday 2-4:30p $40/$32 for members .
This workshop is appropriate for teachers, teachers in training and students with a desire to learn more about assists in yoga asana classes.

This week I have not felt myself. I’ve had 0 energy, yet felt restless at the same time. I’ve been forgetful, irritable & just little bit chaotic.
I was thinking last night. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME! And then I realised... I’m not taking care of myself as I need to. Ive always slept well, always gone to bed early, slept through the night and woke up nice & early. - yet lately I’ve been having late nights, sitting on my phone SCROLLING until I go to sleep😣. As well as this; I’ve been busier, so I haven’t been cooking like I usually would. This means quick snacks instead of a making a proper dinner. Therefore not getting the nutrition in that I need. I’ve been unorganised, lazy and just not giving myself the downtime and care I need to.
So TODAY this changes.
Time to get organised! No phone in my bedroom, meal prep when I need to and start to practice what I preach again! .
So many of us are GIVERS, but how can we give our best to others if we don’t give to ourselves? So here’s a reminder - make yourself a priority, give yourself the care, love and time that most of us so willingly give to others..🙏🏽
