The Trembling Giant.
A single organism made up of an aspen clonal colony that spans over 106 acres and is thought to be well over 80,000 years old.
Made up of 40,000 identical stems with a connected root system Pando is quite literally a forest made from one tree.
If you've walked under his sprawling branches you'd know that a slight wind will cause his leaves to shudder, to quake.
The shadows from the leaves dance across the ground and look like butterflies, the movement sounds like raindrops.
The entire experience is magic.
Unfortunately, as it is with most remarkable things, his future looks grim.
I encourage you to meet this gentle beast for yourself. And if you do visit I recommend blasting Desiigner's "Panda" on repeat.
