Staying in traditional Kyrgyz yurts became one of our favorite memories. The yurts are made from a wooden circular frame and covered with felt (wool) and braided with ropes.
We stayed a total of four nights and it was cozy and warm. During our trek to Song Kul Lake we spent time with the nomadic families who were up in the mountains with their sheep for the summer.
The families welcomed us in for the night. We met their children, ate delicious traditional food and had a warm place to stay for the night. It was pretty cold outside as soon as it became dark but oh how beautiful was the night sky🌟
I am so excited to introduce our Yoga teacher for The July Retreat. ... isn’t this photo the cutest?! ✨🌲🌻
Melanie will be leading us through our candle lit yin session in the Yurt ( after we have dined on lunch and have enjoyed our relaxation in either the Nordic spa or in nature. ) blissssss.
Here are her thoughtful answers to my questions:
Q: How do you find presence in your life?
I find presence through gratitude and prayer. When things get overwhelming, or I find myself in the past or future, I allow myself to step back, acknowledge everything that is good and perfect at this moment. ✨
This helps me ground into the present. To appreciate everything that my life is in this exact moment , and helps me manifest more of these great things into my life. ( rather than to focus on what is past or what may or may not be in the future. )
Q: What do you love most about Summer? .
My husband and I LOVE the outdoors. We love spending every spare minute outside- whether its walking or biking with the dogs, canoeing, spending days at the camp and finding new places to explore. ✨
It fuels us up in ways I can’t even describe. Another thing I love about summer is the fact that it is temporary. 🌊
I love that we live in a place with four seasons, and that with each season brings new routines. ✨
I think if we lived in a place where it was summer all the time, people wouldn’t take advantage of it or appreciate it as much as we do. .
Q: Who do you admire? 💗
My mama! She has been my best friend for as long as I remember. She has always reminded me of whats important in life: to be kind, to follow your heart and to be in love with yourself first. ✨
She has given me all of the love and support I could possibly ever wish for. She encourages me to follow my heart, and has taught me that making decisions by following my heart is the best place to come from when making decisions . 🌲✨🌊
THANK YOU @melaniefrigaultyoga Keep exploring Summer and I am so excited to spend a nurturing and high-vibe day with you at Village Scandanive. ✨🌿🌸🌻
